The easiest way to cut your four-legged friend's claws is when he is lying on his side. Make sure you have good lighting conditions when cutting so that you can clearly see the blood vessels in the claw. If your dog has dark claws, you can try to shine a light on individual claws.

Take your dog's paw in your hand and fix the claw you want to cut at the base of the claw. Hold the nail scissors at a 45° angle to the nail and cut it from the bottom up. Just shorten the claw carefully "in slices" so as not to cut away too much.
